Narrative:
I was having a pre-buy done on an aircraft I was selling at dxr. The owner dropped it off at the shop and I was flying him (and his CFI) back to home base. Departed IFR (2-4 mi in haze) on the climb out uneventfully. Level at 4000 ft, noticed the oil temperature almost pinned at the top of the green/red line. Oil pressure was low but steady at the yellow/green line at 60 psi. I knew that I needed to land. Watched the gauges for a min after reducing power (no, change). Said to approach 'I need to change our destination to cdw (was wsi). Flew the localizer runway 22 -- stayed high after I saw the runway. Slipped in to uneventful landing. Grabbed my airplane, refiled IFR, continued the flight. Maintenance notified. Gauge checked ok. Oiled pressure ok. Oil cooler replaced with new.
