Narrative:
On the lynsy RNAV one arrival to las vegas we were cleared via the arrival and to descend to 10000 ft. We both thought that ZLA wanted us down to 10000 ft now and fly the course of the arrival. We were level at 10000 ft prior to lynsy when ZLA handed us off to las approach. When checking on with las approach they questioned us why we were at 10000 ft and not 12000 ft. Usually we hear cleared to an altitude and comply with restrs, if the arrival is modified.

Title: AN LGT CREW, DSNDING INTO LAS, MISINTERPRETED ATC'S INSTRUCTIONS, OVERSHOOTING PUBLISHED XING RESTRS.
Narrative: ON THE LYNSY RNAV ONE ARR TO LAS VEGAS WE WERE CLRED VIA THE ARR AND TO DSND TO 10000 FT. WE BOTH THOUGHT THAT ZLA WANTED US DOWN TO 10000 FT NOW AND FLY THE COURSE OF THE ARR. WE WERE LEVEL AT 10000 FT PRIOR TO LYNSY WHEN ZLA HANDED US OFF TO LAS APCH. WHEN CHKING ON WITH LAS APCH THEY QUESTIONED US WHY WE WERE AT 10000 FT AND NOT 12000 FT. USUALLY WE HEAR CLRED TO AN ALT AND COMPLY WITH RESTRS, IF THE ARR IS MODIFIED.
