Narrative:
A runway incursion occurred at lga on taxiway F while taxiing to runway 13. Lga ground instruction were to taxi txwys B, F, hold short runway 22. As the first officer, I acknowledged the instructions and thought the captain heard such instructions. The radios were busy and we were running checklist, as to be ready for takeoff when we reach the other side. I am unfamiliar with lga hold short lines in relations to the runway on taxiway F. I was heads down accomplishing a checklist and noticed we were heading up taxiway F and asked the captain if he was holding short. He stopped the aircraft and said he didn't remember the hold short of runway 22 part of the instruction. We were distracted doing the checklist and it resulted in the jet being (a guess) 2/3 over the hold short line. I think they sent a plane around, but am unsure. The distraction of trying to accomplish checklist and my assumption of the captain hearing the hold short part is what I think led to the incursion.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: AN F100 CREW, TAXIING FOR TKOF AT LGA, CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE OF A RWY THEY WERE TO HOLD SHORT OF.
Narrative: A RWY INCURSION OCCURRED AT LGA ON TXWY F WHILE TAXIING TO RWY 13. LGA GND INSTRUCTION WERE TO TAXI TXWYS B, F, HOLD SHORT RWY 22. AS THE FO, I ACKNOWLEDGED THE INSTRUCTIONS AND THOUGHT THE CAPT HEARD SUCH INSTRUCTIONS. THE RADIOS WERE BUSY AND WE WERE RUNNING CHKLIST, AS TO BE READY FOR TKOF WHEN WE REACH THE OTHER SIDE. I AM UNFAMILIAR WITH LGA HOLD SHORT LINES IN RELATIONS TO THE RWY ON TXWY F. I WAS HEADS DOWN ACCOMPLISHING A CHKLIST AND NOTICED WE WERE HEADING UP TXWY F AND ASKED THE CAPT IF HE WAS HOLDING SHORT. HE STOPPED THE ACFT AND SAID HE DIDN'T REMEMBER THE HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22 PART OF THE INSTRUCTION. WE WERE DISTRACTED DOING THE CHKLIST AND IT RESULTED IN THE JET BEING (A GUESS) 2/3 OVER THE HOLD SHORT LINE. I THINK THEY SENT A PLANE AROUND, BUT AM UNSURE. THE DISTR OF TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH CHKLIST AND MY ASSUMPTION OF THE CAPT HEARING THE HOLD SHORT PART IS WHAT I THINK LED TO THE INCURSION.
