Narrative:
We were being radar vectored for winston salem runway 33. Greensboro approach gave us a vector and I heard him say 'expect a visual approach to runway 32' and cleared us for that approach. We were heading to winston salem which has runway 33 so I lined up with the runway I thought was runway 33 at winston salem, but it was runway 32 at greensboro. When I asked the controller about this, he did not respond so I went to tower and it was at that time I realized it was the wrong airport so I climbed and called winston salem tower and he cleared us all the way to the airport through greensboro approach with no problems at all. I think with gso approach saying runway 32 they thought we were going to gso and vectored us for it. The intercept heading and our position would suggest it as well. We executed a go around and proceeded to the int airport under the control of winston salem tower.

Title: LJ25 CREW WAS VECTORED BY THE GSO APCH CTLR TO GSO WHEN THEIR DEST WAS INT.
Narrative: WE WERE BEING RADAR VECTORED FOR WINSTON SALEM RWY 33. GREENSBORO APCH GAVE US A VECTOR AND I HEARD HIM SAY 'EXPECT A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 32' AND CLRED US FOR THAT APCH. WE WERE HEADING TO WINSTON SALEM WHICH HAS RWY 33 SO I LINED UP WITH THE RWY I THOUGHT WAS RWY 33 AT WINSTON SALEM, BUT IT WAS RWY 32 AT GREENSBORO. WHEN I ASKED THE CTLR ABOUT THIS, HE DID NOT RESPOND SO I WENT TO TWR AND IT WAS AT THAT TIME I REALIZED IT WAS THE WRONG ARPT SO I CLBED AND CALLED WINSTON SALEM TWR AND HE CLRED US ALL THE WAY TO THE ARPT THROUGH GREENSBORO APCH WITH NO PROBS AT ALL. I THINK WITH GSO APCH SAYING RWY 32 THEY THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO GSO AND VECTORED US FOR IT. THE INTERCEPT HEADING AND OUR POS WOULD SUGGEST IT AS WELL. WE EXECUTED A GAR AND PROCEEDED TO THE INT ARPT UNDER THE CTL OF WINSTON SALEM TWR.
