Narrative:
We were departing lax en route to salt lake city. We were departing on the loop 2 departure and it was the first officer's leg to fly. On the climb out the first officer pitched for a good rate of climb when ATC (departure) gave us a turn back to the lax VOR on the loop 2 departure and asked us to accelerate to 250 KTS in the climb. The first officer made the turn and pitched for the 250 KTS too quickly for the altitude restrs on the departure. We crossed lax VOR at 10000 ft which is the altitude restr for that point on the loop 2, however we were able to cross keggs at 12800 ft instead of the 13000 ft published. We had no trouble making the 15000 ft at coop. Basically what happened was ATC saw us climbing quickly and turned us back to lax in a turn with about a 7 mi radius. When my first officer heard the 250 KTS assigned, he pitched for it too quickly, sacrificing the climb performance we needed for the departure. We flew the loop 2 several times more on this same trip and with more careful pitch management we had no trouble making the restrs at 250 KTS.

Title: THE KEGGS XING RESTR ON THE LOOP 2 DEP AT LAX IS NOT MADE WHEN AN ACR CREW FAILS TO MAINTAIN AN ADEQUATE CLB RATE WHILE INCREASING SPD AT ATC REQUEST.
Narrative: WE WERE DEPARTING LAX ENRTE TO SALT LAKE CITY. WE WERE DEPARTING ON THE LOOP 2 DEP AND IT WAS THE FO'S LEG TO FLY. ON THE CLBOUT THE FO PITCHED FOR A GOOD RATE OF CLB WHEN ATC (DEP) GAVE US A TURN BACK TO THE LAX VOR ON THE LOOP 2 DEP AND ASKED US TO ACCELERATE TO 250 KTS IN THE CLB. THE FO MADE THE TURN AND PITCHED FOR THE 250 KTS TOO QUICKLY FOR THE ALT RESTRS ON THE DEP. WE CROSSED LAX VOR AT 10000 FT WHICH IS THE ALT RESTR FOR THAT POINT ON THE LOOP 2, HOWEVER WE WERE ABLE TO CROSS KEGGS AT 12800 FT INSTEAD OF THE 13000 FT PUBLISHED. WE HAD NO TROUBLE MAKING THE 15000 FT AT COOP. BASICALLY WHAT HAPPENED WAS ATC SAW US CLBING QUICKLY AND TURNED US BACK TO LAX IN A TURN WITH ABOUT A 7 MI RADIUS.
