Narrative:
Instruction given by ewr ground from gate was to taxi rb to left B to runway 22R at taxiway west. Approaching twxy west, I had my head down reviewing ewr 7 SID. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed taxiway west pass. I swung my head to notice that the captain had his head down as well. We missed our intersection departure at taxiway west and stopped on runway 11, just over the hold short line. Tower questioned what we were doing and instructed us to cross runway 11. No other conversation regarding the event took place between tower and crew.
