Narrative:
From location X, received a clearance from ground to taxi to runway 13 via taxiway G, then taxiway F, hold short runway 22. In making the turn onto taxiway F, while helping a new copilot fix/enter tps data into the FMS, I taxied beyond the hold short line. I assumed the hold short line would be at runway 22. Taxiway F from location X is a reverse high speed taxiway off of runway 22. Being unfamiliar with lga, I did not know or see that the hold short for runway 22 on taxiway F is located after the turn. After realizing I had passed the line, I stopped the aircraft well before runway 22. Then I noticed an aircraft had gone around. Ground called and said, 'air carrier X next time let us know you're going to do that.' then gave us a clearance to cross runway 22 and taxi to runway 13, then advised us to call ground at arrival. I talked to the ground supervisor and he said he would listen to the tape and for me to call him in the morning. I talked to the supervisor again and he informed me that he filed a runway incursion at the lowest level, no loss of separation with flight standards. I will be more vigilant while taxiing at airports.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: F100 FLC HAS RWY INCURSION AT LGA.
Narrative: FROM LOCATION X, RECEIVED A CLRNC FROM GND TO TAXI TO RWY 13 VIA TXWY G, THEN TXWY F, HOLD SHORT RWY 22. IN MAKING THE TURN ONTO TXWY F, WHILE HELPING A NEW COPLT FIX/ENTER TPS DATA INTO THE FMS, I TAXIED BEYOND THE HOLD SHORT LINE. I ASSUMED THE HOLD SHORT LINE WOULD BE AT RWY 22. TXWY F FROM LOCATION X IS A REVERSE HIGH SPD TXWY OFF OF RWY 22. BEING UNFAMILIAR WITH LGA, I DID NOT KNOW OR SEE THAT THE HOLD SHORT FOR RWY 22 ON TXWY F IS LOCATED AFTER THE TURN. AFTER REALIZING I HAD PASSED THE LINE, I STOPPED THE ACFT WELL BEFORE RWY 22. THEN I NOTICED AN ACFT HAD GONE AROUND. GND CALLED AND SAID, 'ACR X NEXT TIME LET US KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO DO THAT.' THEN GAVE US A CLRNC TO CROSS RWY 22 AND TAXI TO RWY 13, THEN ADVISED US TO CALL GND AT ARR. I TALKED TO THE GND SUPVR AND HE SAID HE WOULD LISTEN TO THE TAPE AND FOR ME TO CALL HIM IN THE MORNING. I TALKED TO THE SUPVR AGAIN AND HE INFORMED ME THAT HE FILED A RWY INCURSION AT THE LOWEST LEVEL, NO LOSS OF SEPARATION WITH FLT STANDARDS. I WILL BE MORE VIGILANT WHILE TAXIING AT ARPTS.
