Narrative:
Approaching final to runway 9L at ord on a 90 degree left base, first officer flying, we allowed the autoplt localizer mode of the autoplt to make the turn on. We overshot and ended up between the runways. Captain directed first officer to override the autoplt and increase the bank angle to minimize the overshoot. TCASII RA received from traffic on final to runway 9R. Complied with RA instructions and intercepted final to runway 9L.
