Narrative:
Inadvertently taxied to runway 16R instead of runway 10 as cleared by ground control. There was an aircraft on 3-5 mi final who was not affected. I was expecting runway 16R because I landed on it a few mins prior, the wind was favoring it. It was on the ATIS as the active, and 2 other aircraft took off on it as we were taxiing out. When we received the clearance to taxi to runway 10, I guess I wanted to hear taxi to runway 16R. The first officer read back the clearance properly, but had his head down when we approached the runway 10/16R intersection so he wasn't able to warn me in time. He assumed that I heard the clearance to taxi to runway 10 but by the time he noticed, we were about halfway across runway 10 on the way to runway 16R. Ground didn't correct us until we were across runway 10. He then cleared us to continue to runway 16R. Supplemental information from acn 558283: I looked up and said we were supposed to taxi to runway 10. We immediately called tower and apologized and the tower said to continue taxi to runway 16R.

Title: SAAB 340 FLC HAS RWY INCURSION AT MAF.
Narrative: INADVERTENTLY TAXIED TO RWY 16R INSTEAD OF RWY 10 AS CLRED BY GND CTL. THERE WAS AN ACFT ON 3-5 MI FINAL WHO WAS NOT AFFECTED. I WAS EXPECTING RWY 16R BECAUSE I LANDED ON IT A FEW MINS PRIOR, THE WIND WAS FAVORING IT. IT WAS ON THE ATIS AS THE ACTIVE, AND 2 OTHER ACFT TOOK OFF ON IT AS WE WERE TAXIING OUT. WHEN WE RECEIVED THE CLRNC TO TAXI TO RWY 10, I GUESS I WANTED TO HEAR TAXI TO RWY 16R. THE FO READ BACK THE CLRNC PROPERLY, BUT HAD HIS HEAD DOWN WHEN WE APCHED THE RWY 10/16R INTXN SO HE WASN'T ABLE TO WARN ME IN TIME. HE ASSUMED THAT I HEARD THE CLRNC TO TAXI TO RWY 10 BUT BY THE TIME HE NOTICED, WE WERE ABOUT HALFWAY ACROSS RWY 10 ON THE WAY TO RWY 16R. GND DIDN'T CORRECT US UNTIL WE WERE ACROSS RWY 10. HE THEN CLRED US TO CONTINUE TO RWY 16R. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 558283: I LOOKED UP AND SAID WE WERE SUPPOSED TO TAXI TO RWY 10. WE IMMEDIATELY CALLED TWR AND APOLOGIZED AND THE TWR SAID TO CONTINUE TAXI TO RWY 16R.
