Narrative:
After our emergency at gdl, I had to go over to the airport authority/authorized office and make a report. The copilot and I were escorted by our manager. 2 gentlemen were in the office. They had airport badges and I assumed were airport mgrs. They never did introduce themselves -- even trough our interpreter. He wanted to copy our airman certificates in another room. Since I did not know who he was, I wanted to keep our certificates in sight while he did this. I followed him and watched him copy our certificates before he handed them back to me. He apparently was insulted by the way I acted in wanting to keep our tickets in sight, according to the general manager of air carrier X. The gentleman informed the general manager that he had the authority/authorized to take our certificates if he wanted to. I would have no problem with his authority/authorized, as long as he idented himself next time. My question is: how in mex are we obliged to give up our certificates to? Where can I find this information? I tried the part I and was unable to find out.

Title: AN MD80 CREW, FOLLOWING AN EMER IN MMGL, INSULTED LCL OFFICIALS BY WANTING TO BE PRESENT WHILE THEIR AIRMAN CERTIFICATES WERE BEING COPIED.
Narrative: AFTER OUR EMER AT GDL, I HAD TO GO OVER TO THE ARPT AUTH OFFICE AND MAKE A RPT. THE COPLT AND I WERE ESCORTED BY OUR MGR. 2 GENTLEMEN WERE IN THE OFFICE. THEY HAD ARPT BADGES AND I ASSUMED WERE ARPT MGRS. HE APPARENTLY WAS INSULTED BY THE WAY I ACTED IN WANTING TO KEEP OUR TICKETS IN SIGHT, ACCORDING TO THE GENERAL MGR OF ACR X. THE GENTLEMAN INFORMED THE GENERAL MGR THAT HE HAD THE AUTH TO TAKE OUR CERTIFICATES IF HE WANTED TO. I WOULD HAVE NO PROB WITH HIS AUTH, AS LONG AS HE IDENTED HIMSELF NEXT TIME. MY QUESTION IS: HOW IN MEX ARE WE OBLIGED TO GIVE UP OUR CERTIFICATES TO? WHERE CAN I FIND THIS INFO? I TRIED THE PART I AND WAS UNABLE TO FIND OUT.
