Narrative:
Tower cleared us to land on runway 3L, in visual conditions. Out of 800 ft, we noticed something on the runway. The captain and I discussed whether or not ATC was going to clear the runway. Controller issued go around instructions at about 500 ft AGL. Controller stated it was totally his fault. Truck on runway.
