Narrative:
On sep/tue/02, I heard about of some measurements on an 8TH stage stator that I was not aware of. Mr X told me about this measurement. This caused concern to me. I have worked numerous stators in this area for about a week. I have asked questions about how to do the work of removing overspray. The information I looked up was vague or non existent. Supplemental information from acn 559659: technician #1 and myself were instructed to place blade 535 in a bucket. After placing blade in bucket, we poured a chemical known as 23018 cee-bee 105HF over the platform and let it situation for 4 hours. Blade was placed in bucket, I checked shop order for proper authority/authorized through our manuals. There is nothing listed for this repair. In checking list, this chemical is not listed. 105HF has not been approved for use through labs. Blade was removed after 4 hours, checked, then replaced for 2 more hours. We needed paperwork, manuals, to tell us how and what to do, not just instructions from a supervisor. We would like paperwork and eso (engineering service order) approved authority/authorized.
