Narrative:
At about 1000 ft AGL, dfw tower advised of traffic conflict from low approach off runway 31R. At about the same time, the TCASII advised 'monitor vertical speed,' followed immediately by 'increase vertical speed.' I followed the commands and selected takeoff power. Climbed at about V2-5 KTS in green band on vsi until clear of conflict.
