Narrative:
Airborne interrupt. Departing ord, climbing through 12000 ft, forward galley door light illuminated. Called #1 flight attendant to confirm handle fully closed. She stated handle partially open but when fully closed warning light remained on. Uncertain at this point if door had been properly closed. Spoke with dispatch. Decided to return to ord. Also on this departure we were IMC, in moderate chop, deviating around rain showers.
