Narrative:

As we were pulling in to the gate in ZZZ, mechanic frantically signaled to shut down #1 engine. Later, we discovered the reason for shutting down number #1 engine was that we had a break in our hydraulic brake lines and skydrol was spewing all over the ramp. All cockpit indications were normal throughout landing and taxi in to gate. Mechanic later notified us that the reason for the mishap was that 3 of the 4 hydraulic brake lines on the left side gear were loose. They fixed the problem and we were on our way.
