Narrative:

During taxi to active runway, we were informed about a runway shortening which was not included on ATIS for departure or on NOTAMS. Due to the runway being shortened, first officer had to recompute the takeoff and speeds and reconfigure all FMS takeoff data. While first officer was head down making the FMS changes, the captain missed the turn onto the active parallel taxiway and entered an active runway. No aircraft were on approach, landing or takeoff, to that runway. We immediately alerted ground control to our error. If ATIS or NOTAMS had advised us of the runway shortening, we would have been able to complete all necessary calculations before starting engines and taxiing. If we had not needed to recompute takeoff data while taxiing, first officer would have been better able to assist in monitoring the taxi route.

Title: A300-600 CAPT MISSED TURN TO ASSIGNED TXWY RESULTING IN ENTERING THE ASSIGNED ACTIVE RWY.

Narrative: DURING TAXI TO ACTIVE RWY, WE WERE INFORMED ABOUT A RWY SHORTENING WHICH WAS NOT INCLUDED ON ATIS FOR DEP OR ON NOTAMS. DUE TO THE RWY BEING SHORTENED, FO HAD TO RECOMPUTE THE TKOF AND SPDS AND RECONFIGURE ALL FMS TKOF DATA. WHILE FO WAS HEAD DOWN MAKING THE FMS CHANGES, THE CAPT MISSED THE TURN ONTO THE ACTIVE PARALLEL TXWY AND ENTERED AN ACTIVE RWY. NO ACFT WERE ON APCH, LNDG OR TKOF, TO THAT RWY. WE IMMEDIATELY ALERTED GND CTL TO OUR ERROR. IF ATIS OR NOTAMS HAD ADVISED US OF THE RWY SHORTENING, WE WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO COMPLETE ALL NECESSARY CALCULATIONS BEFORE STARTING ENGS AND TAXIING. IF WE HAD NOT NEEDED TO RECOMPUTE TKOF DATA WHILE TAXIING, FO WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER ABLE TO ASSIST IN MONITORING THE TAXI RTE.
