Narrative:
Upon clearing runway and taxi in to gate at oak, I notified by the flight attendant that a man had been smoking marijuana in the forward lavatory. At the time I had just entered taxiway west off of taxiway Y. I slowed my taxi speed and immediately notified oak operations that a passenger had been smoking marijuana in the forward lavatory. Told operations to have security meet us at the gate, and not to have the jetway meet the aircraft until security arrived. Once the jetway was pulled to the aircraft, I had the individual come off the aircraft and he was arrested by oakland police department. Subsequent search of the passenger found marijuana on this person. I had the operations supervisor search the area he was sitting and the forward lavatory for any contraband. Nothing was found. I talked with the flight attendants and they felt ok to continue the next flight. The crew briefed the duty chief pilot concerning the incident.
