Narrative:
En route from ft. Collins/downtown airport to company. Cruising at 1200 ft AGL with unrestr visibility. Monitoring CTAF frequencys of airports we were passing near and would announce our location as necessary. Heard cessna call longmont (2v2) for airport advisories. Very poor, weak quality call and position was confused. Cessna initially reported north of 2v2 then changed to 5 mi south of 2v2. Both rated passenger and myself were actively looking for the traffic although they should be well clear of our flight. I caught some movement from our left and discovered the twin cessna underneath of our flight! This is the same cessna that reported north then south of the airport. They were actually east of this airport and obviously very low for being 5 mi from the airport. There was no evidence that they ever saw us. They did not respond to our radio call and we did not have time to divert to 2v2 and challenge them in person.

Title: NMAC OCCURS WHEN THE PLT OF A SCHWEIZER 300C NOTICES TOO LATE THAT A TWIN CESSNA PLT WHO WAS ISSUING CONTRADICTORY POS RPTS ON CTAF, WAS DIRECTLY UNDER HIS ACFT 5 NM E OF 2V2, CO.
Narrative: ENRTE FROM FT. COLLINS/DOWNTOWN ARPT TO COMPANY. CRUISING AT 1200 FT AGL WITH UNRESTR VISIBILITY. MONITORING CTAF FREQS OF ARPTS WE WERE PASSING NEAR AND WOULD ANNOUNCE OUR LOCATION AS NECESSARY. HEARD CESSNA CALL LONGMONT (2V2) FOR ARPT ADVISORIES. VERY POOR, WEAK QUALITY CALL AND POS WAS CONFUSED. CESSNA INITIALLY RPTED N OF 2V2 THEN CHANGED TO 5 MI S OF 2V2. BOTH RATED PAX AND MYSELF WERE ACTIVELY LOOKING FOR THE TFC ALTHOUGH THEY SHOULD BE WELL CLEAR OF OUR FLT. I CAUGHT SOME MOVEMENT FROM OUR L AND DISCOVERED THE TWIN CESSNA UNDERNEATH OF OUR FLT! THIS IS THE SAME CESSNA THAT RPTED N THEN S OF THE ARPT. THEY WERE ACTUALLY E OF THIS ARPT AND OBVIOUSLY VERY LOW FOR BEING 5 MI FROM THE ARPT. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE THAT THEY EVER SAW US. THEY DID NOT RESPOND TO OUR RADIO CALL AND WE DID NOT HAVE TIME TO DIVERT TO 2V2 AND CHALLENGE THEM IN PERSON.
