Narrative:
Cleared to taxi to runway 8L via taxiway F to 'S1.' at the end of taxiway F turned onto 'RT1' to taxiway T on to 'S1.' this appeared to be the only way to get there. On 'S1' it's from taxiway T, the clearance to the runway must be over the hold short line, which I was unable to see, and an aircraft on final was told to go around. I did see the CAT ii hold short line to my right. I did not taxi on the runway. After a pause, I was then cleared for takeoff. This was a double crew, 4 pilots in an md-11, and we had all agreed on how to taxi to the runway. 1-WAY taxi directions are incomplete on the taxi diagram. Paris txwys are confusing with nonstandard markings and lighting. I have flown here for months and not had a problem before.
