Narrative:
After preparing for landing, flight attendant #1 and #3 heard a noise beneath the first galley floor, then smoke came out of the vent forward to middle of the plane. The rear of the plane was pretty clear, except for the electrical, burning smell. Passenger got upset, but sat in seats with the seatbelts fastened. Flight attendant #1 rang captain, but did not receive an answer until the plane taxied to the gate. Then the smoke subsided, but left the cabin all fogged up. The captain made a PA 'no alarm for concern.' we parked at the gate and deplaned.
