Narrative:
The active runway was 35. The ATIS advised 'temporary lights on runway 28.' after landing on runway 35, I was told by the tower that I could exit the active at runway 28. I passed by the last landing light leading to the runway intersection and turned left onto the dark runway. My propeller struck 1 of the dark temporary runway lights on runway 28. The runway shoulder was even with the runway and paved -- there was no rumble strip, dip in the pavement or lights. The night was high overcast -- no moon or stars. If I was told runway lights on runway 28 were temporary and off, I would likely have avoided the impact, which caused thousands of dollars of damage.
