Narrative:
While on the tarre 2 arrival to cvg, ZID asked if we had previously been cleared direct to the vhp VOR (part of the tarne arrival). I informed them that we had not and noticed that the FMS was missing several fixes along the arrival. The controller gave us direct brickyard VOR and mentioned we were not the only ones to be having a problem at the arrival. Our clearance from ord to cvg was not the canned' one in the FMS. The clearance was eon direct dnv and the 'tarne 2' arrival. Dnv is part of the arrival, but not the beginning of the west arrival. When I loaded the flight plan. I didn't see a dnv transition stored in the FMS, so I 'assumed' it was direct the next fix. I made a mental note to check it against the commercial arrival chart, but forgot (due in part to a quick turnaround and being distraction with a problem we had on the previous flight).

Title: CL65 CREW HAD A TRACK DEV WHEN THEY DID NOT INSURE THE FMC LISTED WAYPOINTS WERE THE SAME AS THE ATC CLRNC.
Narrative: WHILE ON THE TARRE 2 ARR TO CVG, ZID ASKED IF WE HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN CLRED DIRECT TO THE VHP VOR (PART OF THE TARNE ARR). I INFORMED THEM THAT WE HAD NOT AND NOTICED THAT THE FMS WAS MISSING SEVERAL FIXES ALONG THE ARR. THE CTLR GAVE US DIRECT BRICKYARD VOR AND MENTIONED WE WERE NOT THE ONLY ONES TO BE HAVING A PROB AT THE ARR. OUR CLRNC FROM ORD TO CVG WAS NOT THE CANNED' ONE IN THE FMS. THE CLRNC WAS EON DIRECT DNV AND THE 'TARNE 2' ARR. DNV IS PART OF THE ARR, BUT NOT THE BEGINNING OF THE W ARR. WHEN I LOADED THE FLT PLAN. I DIDN'T SEE A DNV TRANSITION STORED IN THE FMS, SO I 'ASSUMED' IT WAS DIRECT THE NEXT FIX. I MADE A MENTAL NOTE TO CHK IT AGAINST THE COMMERCIAL ARR CHART, BUT FORGOT (DUE IN PART TO A QUICK TURNAROUND AND BEING DISTR WITH A PROB WE HAD ON THE PREVIOUS FLT).
