Narrative:

I filed flight plan with wrong direction-of-flight altitude -- FL290 instead of FL280 or FL310. Route X, programmed in, was looking for best burnout, etc. While discussing the reject dialogues with computer programmer, computer logic seemed inconsistent. Crew sent message after takeoff wondering why computer had planned wrong-way altitude (they were at FL280).
