Narrative:
As I was approaching to land on runway 6, I encountered LLWS and drifted to the left of centerline and off the runway surface. The wind at the time was 150 degrees at 15 KTS gusts to 26 KTS. The preceding aircraft had reported +/-10 to +/-15 KIAS on final. There also was an airmet for LLWAS in the area. The approach to land was uneventful until the last 500-700 ft there were airspeed fluctuations of +/-10 to +/-20 KTS on short final. I was carrying additional power to fly through the approach. I was not in a position where I had to land and hold short. No one was behind me. I started to drift off center, and my rudder and aileron inputs were ineffective. I felt the aircraft 'bump,' and I believe it was at this time, I hit something. I corrected back and got back on the runway. I then taxied to the ramp and inspected the propellers at shutdown and noticed the damage to the tips. Causes: inability to correct for crosswind and gusty wind conditions. The intensity of the rough air increased as the day went on.

Title: LNDG C310 RAN OFF RWY DUE TO LLWS.
Narrative: AS I WAS APCHING TO LAND ON RWY 6, I ENCOUNTERED LLWS AND DRIFTED TO THE L OF CTRLINE AND OFF THE RWY SURFACE. THE WIND AT THE TIME WAS 150 DEGS AT 15 KTS GUSTS TO 26 KTS. THE PRECEDING ACFT HAD RPTED +/-10 TO +/-15 KIAS ON FINAL. THERE ALSO WAS AN AIRMET FOR LLWAS IN THE AREA. THE APCH TO LAND WAS UNEVENTFUL UNTIL THE LAST 500-700 FT THERE WERE AIRSPD FLUCTUATIONS OF +/-10 TO +/-20 KTS ON SHORT FINAL. I WAS CARRYING ADDITIONAL PWR TO FLY THROUGH THE APCH. I WAS NOT IN A POS WHERE I HAD TO LAND AND HOLD SHORT. NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME. I STARTED TO DRIFT OFF CTR, AND MY RUDDER AND AILERON INPUTS WERE INEFFECTIVE. I FELT THE ACFT 'BUMP,' AND I BELIEVE IT WAS AT THIS TIME, I HIT SOMETHING. I CORRECTED BACK AND GOT BACK ON THE RWY. I THEN TAXIED TO THE RAMP AND INSPECTED THE PROPS AT SHUTDOWN AND NOTICED THE DAMAGE TO THE TIPS. CAUSES: INABILITY TO CORRECT FOR XWIND AND GUSTY WIND CONDITIONS. THE INTENSITY OF THE ROUGH AIR INCREASED AS THE DAY WENT ON.
