Narrative:
Landed with 20+ KTS headwind. Executed normal landing but aircraft slowed down using much less runway than normal because of headwind. Turned left at first turnoff available and noticed that I turned off onto an intersecting non-active runway. Tower radioed to contact ground. Ground cleared me to taxi to parking, and then advised that I had exited onto another runway. This airport is my home field and I have landed on that runway many times before. Typically, my aircraft is not able to land in short enough distance to turn off onto the intersecting runway, so I never considered it an option. I executed the landing and turn off procedure as I normally do for that runway and just turned when I was slow enough to exit. I simply did not consider, or observe, that the turnoff was an intersecting runway, even though it is clearly marked. I performed the turnoff from mental rote. I will now always purposely look to see that the turnoff is a taxiway, unless approved by tower to exit onto an intersecting runway.

Title: A BE35 PLT CLRED THE RWY BY TAXIING CLR OF THE ACTIVE ONTO ANOTHER RWY FOR WHICH HE DID NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO INCUR AT DPA.
Narrative: LANDED WITH 20+ KTS HEADWIND. EXECUTED NORMAL LNDG BUT ACFT SLOWED DOWN USING MUCH LESS RWY THAN NORMAL BECAUSE OF HEADWIND. TURNED L AT FIRST TURNOFF AVAILABLE AND NOTICED THAT I TURNED OFF ONTO AN INTERSECTING NON-ACTIVE RWY. TWR RADIOED TO CONTACT GND. GND CLRED ME TO TAXI TO PARKING, AND THEN ADVISED THAT I HAD EXITED ONTO ANOTHER RWY. THIS ARPT IS MY HOME FIELD AND I HAVE LANDED ON THAT RWY MANY TIMES BEFORE. TYPICALLY, MY ACFT IS NOT ABLE TO LAND IN SHORT ENOUGH DISTANCE TO TURN OFF ONTO THE INTERSECTING RWY, SO I NEVER CONSIDERED IT AN OPTION. I EXECUTED THE LNDG AND TURN OFF PROC AS I NORMALLY DO FOR THAT RWY AND JUST TURNED WHEN I WAS SLOW ENOUGH TO EXIT. I SIMPLY DID NOT CONSIDER, OR OBSERVE, THAT THE TURNOFF WAS AN INTERSECTING RWY, EVEN THOUGH IT IS CLRLY MARKED. I PERFORMED THE TURNOFF FROM MENTAL ROTE. I WILL NOW ALWAYS PURPOSELY LOOK TO SEE THAT THE TURNOFF IS A TXWY, UNLESS APPROVED BY TWR TO EXIT ONTO AN INTERSECTING RWY.
