Narrative:
While descending into ewr on the dylin 2 arrival, level at FL270, ATC cleared us to descend via the dylin 2, which required few steps dscnts. I overlooked the dupont VOR altitude restr of FL220 and started a descent to 13000 ft, stefe restr. My first officer agreed. We both did not notice the dupont restr. Approximately 8 mi west of dqo, ATC asked for our altitude, which was 16000 ft, and then told us that we should have leveled off at FL220 over dqo. ATC instructed to level at 15000 ft, and after passing dqo, to continue descent. End of event. The dqo restr was written under the VOR dqo box, and not like the rest of the restrs, a standalone note. On the day after the event, we received a commercial update, which included an update 10-2 to the ewr dylin 2 arrival which has the altitude restr now depicted as a standalone note, like all the rest of the restrs.

Title: B737 CREW DSNDED BELOW THE CHARTED ALT LISTED ON THE DYLIN 2 STAR INTO EWR.
Narrative: WHILE DSNDING INTO EWR ON THE DYLIN 2 ARR, LEVEL AT FL270, ATC CLRED US TO DSND VIA THE DYLIN 2, WHICH REQUIRED FEW STEPS DSCNTS. I OVERLOOKED THE DUPONT VOR ALT RESTR OF FL220 AND STARTED A DSCNT TO 13000 FT, STEFE RESTR. MY FO AGREED. WE BOTH DID NOT NOTICE THE DUPONT RESTR. APPROX 8 MI W OF DQO, ATC ASKED FOR OUR ALT, WHICH WAS 16000 FT, AND THEN TOLD US THAT WE SHOULD HAVE LEVELED OFF AT FL220 OVER DQO. ATC INSTRUCTED TO LEVEL AT 15000 FT, AND AFTER PASSING DQO, TO CONTINUE DSCNT. END OF EVENT. THE DQO RESTR WAS WRITTEN UNDER THE VOR DQO BOX, AND NOT LIKE THE REST OF THE RESTRS, A STANDALONE NOTE. ON THE DAY AFTER THE EVENT, WE RECEIVED A COMMERCIAL UPDATE, WHICH INCLUDED AN UPDATE 10-2 TO THE EWR DYLIN 2 ARR WHICH HAS THE ALT RESTR NOW DEPICTED AS A STANDALONE NOTE, LIKE ALL THE REST OF THE RESTRS.
