Narrative:

As I was on another frequency, ZMA issued my first officer, the PF, an impossible crossing restr to cross an intersection 25-30 mi away at 5000 ft MSL. The restr would have required a 6000+ FPM descent. When I returned to the frequency and learned of the situation, I immediately informed center we would be unable, he seemed less than pleased, hence, I filled out a NASA form. No traffic conflict occurred. No priority was issued, and we caused no one to deviation from their course.
