Narrative:
Aircraft #1 was descending from FL350 to FL330 wbound. Aircraft #2 was level at FL330 nebound. Aircraft #2 was way north of course due to another center's instructions. Just after I got aircraft #2, he turned hard right back on course. The sector was very busy and I thought the aircraft (aircraft #2) was flying a northeast route since the other controller never coordinated what he was doing with aircraft #2. Once aircraft #2 turned on course, hard turns and a descent of aircraft 1 were issued. Separation was lost. Supplemental information from acn 572287: A320 nebound made an unexpected right turn and came into confliction with a wbound H25 descending into day.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: ZOB ARTCC RECEIVED A HDOF FROM AN ADJACENT CTR ON A NEBOUND A320 AT FL330 THAT ABRUPTLY TURNED R INTO A WBOUND HS25 DSNDING TO FL330. TRAINING WAS IN PROGRESS AT THE TIME.
Narrative: ACFT #1 WAS DSNDING FROM FL350 TO FL330 WBOUND. ACFT #2 WAS LEVEL AT FL330 NEBOUND. ACFT #2 WAS WAY N OF COURSE DUE TO ANOTHER CTR'S INSTRUCTIONS. JUST AFTER I GOT ACFT #2, HE TURNED HARD R BACK ON COURSE. THE SECTOR WAS VERY BUSY AND I THOUGHT THE ACFT (ACFT #2) WAS FLYING A NE RTE SINCE THE OTHER CTLR NEVER COORDINATED WHAT HE WAS DOING WITH ACFT #2. ONCE ACFT #2 TURNED ON COURSE, HARD TURNS AND A DSCNT OF ACFT 1 WERE ISSUED. SEPARATION WAS LOST. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 572287: A320 NEBOUND MADE AN UNEXPECTED R TURN AND CAME INTO CONFLICTION WITH A WBOUND H25 DSNDING INTO DAY.
