Narrative:
I was conducting part 127 operations off of 6m0, hazen airport. I had been working for a few hours, when a flight training aircraft from little rock entered the pattern. I was advised of the traffic by the operator on my business band radio. The katana shot several takeoff lndgs. I was aware of the aircraft's position at all times. I followed the plane in the pattern, when the katana touched down and rolled 1/2 way down the runway. I was on short final and noticed that the plane was still on the runway. It looked like the plane was on the roll for a touch-and-go. I continued the approach and landed in the first 100 ft of runway with me stopping in 1000 ft. The plane actually was turning to back taxi on the runway. I was stopped and also turned around to back taxi on the runway. There was 1/4 mi or more distance between the 2 aircraft. I elected not to go around, since the plane was quite a distance down the runway. I was afraid to go around, as I would overtake the smaller and slower plane, and may have caused more of a problem. There was not a near miss.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: AN AT502 PLT LANDS ON RWY AS ANOTHER ACFT STARTS A BACK TAXI. THEY MISS BY AT LEAST A ONE QUARTER MI.
Narrative: I WAS CONDUCTING PART 127 OPS OFF OF 6M0, HAZEN ARPT. I HAD BEEN WORKING FOR A FEW HRS, WHEN A FLT TRAINING ACFT FROM LITTLE ROCK ENTERED THE PATTERN. I WAS ADVISED OF THE TFC BY THE OPERATOR ON MY BUSINESS BAND RADIO. THE KATANA SHOT SEVERAL TKOF LNDGS. I WAS AWARE OF THE ACFT'S POS AT ALL TIMES. I FOLLOWED THE PLANE IN THE PATTERN, WHEN THE KATANA TOUCHED DOWN AND ROLLED 1/2 WAY DOWN THE RWY. I WAS ON SHORT FINAL AND NOTICED THAT THE PLANE WAS STILL ON THE RWY. IT LOOKED LIKE THE PLANE WAS ON THE ROLL FOR A TOUCH-AND-GO. I CONTINUED THE APCH AND LANDED IN THE FIRST 100 FT OF RWY WITH ME STOPPING IN 1000 FT. THE PLANE ACTUALLY WAS TURNING TO BACK TAXI ON THE RWY. I WAS STOPPED AND ALSO TURNED AROUND TO BACK TAXI ON THE RWY. THERE WAS 1/4 MI OR MORE DISTANCE BTWN THE 2 ACFT. I ELECTED NOT TO GAR, SINCE THE PLANE WAS QUITE A DISTANCE DOWN THE RWY. I WAS AFRAID TO GAR, AS I WOULD OVERTAKE THE SMALLER AND SLOWER PLANE, AND MAY HAVE CAUSED MORE OF A PROB. THERE WAS NOT A NEAR MISS.
