Narrative:
First flight of the day. Both captain and first officer new to CL65 jet (both less than 200 hours). Full plane, busy ramp. Baggage tag arrived just prior to departure and was rushed. We completed load manifest and departed. Flight was uneventful. On landing in sfo, the ramp supervisor told us to call departure station. Operations told us that the ramper had not correctly added the bags to yield the bag weight on the tag. Tag said 798 pounds. Correct total was 998 pounds. Aircraft was well below gross weight and well within weight and balance totals with this change, which represented 0.43% gross weight. This was a ramper error, but we had the responsibility to check the bag count and be sure the resulting bag weight was correct. In the future, I will slow down and make sure that each step of the paperwork is done correctly, even if we depart late. A 'rush' situation can increase the probability of errors being made. A good lesson learned. I won't make this error again.

A GOOD LESSON LEARNED. I WON'T MAKE THIS ERROR AGAIN.
