Narrative:

We were very busy working heavy traffic, in a very complex sector. Many aircraft were traveling between the bay area and phx. Tmu required my sector to issue rertes to these aircraft. I climbed aircraft Y (C525) to FL350. He came within 1400 ft and 1 mi with aircraft X (MD80). I stopped aircraft Y at FL320 and issued turns to both aircraft. There were many factors that contributed to this error, including volume of traffic, turbulence, traffic complexity, tmu rertes and tmu mi in trail.
