Narrative:
On feb/mon/03, ZZZ had aircraft X with the captain's attitude direction indicator decision ht light popping the section 6 circuit breaker. The amt removed the bulb from the captain's attitude direction indicator decision ht light due to shorted lamp. The section 6 circuit breaker was reset, and all associated lights were operable. He forwarded the item to maintenance carryover per 34-00-43 upon my interpretation of the MEL. The MEL is for the electronic attitude direction indicator. Aircraft X does not have an electronic attitude direction indicator installed. On feb/tue/03, the attitude direction indicator was replaced and the MEL was removed. There was no exception to the flts the aircraft operated on with the MEL installed. After doing more research, I determined that my interpretation of what an electronic attitude direction indicator is was incorrect, and the information I passed on to the amt was faulty.

Title: A B737-200 FERRY FLT IS IMPROPERLY DISPATCHED WHEN THE WT AND BAL FAILS TO ACCOUNT FOR THE REMOVED PAX SET AS FLT CREW ACCEPTS THE FAULTY ACFT DOCUMENTATION AT VCV, CA.
Narrative: ON FEB/MON/03, ZZZ HAD ACFT X WITH THE CAPT'S ATTITUDE DIRECTION INDICATOR DECISION HT LIGHT POPPING THE SECTION 6 CIRCUIT BREAKER. THE AMT REMOVED THE BULB FROM THE CAPT'S ATTITUDE DIRECTION INDICATOR DECISION HT LIGHT DUE TO SHORTED LAMP. THE SECTION 6 CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS RESET, AND ALL ASSOCIATED LIGHTS WERE OPERABLE. HE FORWARDED THE ITEM TO MAINT CARRYOVER PER 34-00-43 UPON MY INTERP OF THE MEL. THE MEL IS FOR THE ELECTRONIC ATTITUDE DIRECTION INDICATOR. ACFT X DOES NOT HAVE AN ELECTRONIC ATTITUDE DIRECTION INDICATOR INSTALLED. ON FEB/TUE/03, THE ATTITUDE DIRECTION INDICATOR WAS REPLACED AND THE MEL WAS REMOVED. THERE WAS NO EXCEPTION TO THE FLTS THE ACFT OPERATED ON WITH THE MEL INSTALLED. AFTER DOING MORE RESEARCH, I DETERMINED THAT MY INTERP OF WHAT AN ELECTRONIC ATTITUDE DIRECTION INDICATOR IS WAS INCORRECT, AND THE INFO I PASSED ON TO THE AMT WAS FAULTY.
