Narrative:
On final approach, 10 NM out, flaps 15 degrees, we lost center hydraulic system. I asked for vectors off approach to run abnormal checklist and declared emergency. We used alternate system to lower gear and select 20 degrees flaps as per checklist. Flight attendants and passenger were advised of situation and that a normal landing would be accomplished. Copilot was flying and made normal landing on longest runway (runway 27R). We taxied to ramp, had gear pins installed, then taxied to our gate. Everything turned out fine.

Title: A B767 FLT CREW EXPERIENCES A CTR HYD SYS FAILURE. THE FLT CREW DECLARES AN EMER AND LANDS SAFELY.
Narrative: ON FINAL APCH, 10 NM OUT, FLAPS 15 DEGS, WE LOST CTR HYD SYS. I ASKED FOR VECTORS OFF APCH TO RUN ABNORMAL CHKLIST AND DECLARED EMER. WE USED ALTERNATE SYS TO LOWER GEAR AND SELECT 20 DEGS FLAPS AS PER CHKLIST. FLT ATTENDANTS AND PAX WERE ADVISED OF SIT AND THAT A NORMAL LNDG WOULD BE ACCOMPLISHED. COPLT WAS FLYING AND MADE NORMAL LNDG ON LONGEST RWY (RWY 27R). WE TAXIED TO RAMP, HAD GEAR PINS INSTALLED, THEN TAXIED TO OUR GATE. EVERYTHING TURNED OUT FINE.
