Narrative:

During taxi, the instructions were to 'taxi to runway 24 via taxiway A3, across runway 33 at taxiway G. As the PNF, I wrote down the clearance and went 'heads down' to finish a cockpit item. The PF saw taxiway A3 and took that towards runway 33. We realized our error and stopped the aircraft as we crossed the hold short line. There were no other aircraft in the area, and we never made it to the active, but we did cross the hold short line when we should have made a left turn on taxiway a as instructed. We notified the tower, who issued a clearance to use runway 33 (it was not active) and turn right on taxiway G. In the future, I will clarify the information with the other crew member, and if not sure, stop the aircraft clear of the runway until things are sorted out. Additionally, every time I cross a hold short line, I will ask myself, am I cleared to do this?

Title: AN ATP PIC, FLYING AS FO (R SEAT) ON A BE200, DID NOT NOTICE THE PF HAD TURNED THE WRONG DIRECTION ON THE ASSIGNED TXWY, RESULTING IN A RWY INCURSION ON RWY 33 AT PNE.

Narrative: DURING TAXI, THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE TO 'TAXI TO RWY 24 VIA TXWY A3, ACROSS RWY 33 AT TXWY G. AS THE PNF, I WROTE DOWN THE CLRNC AND WENT 'HEADS DOWN' TO FINISH A COCKPIT ITEM. THE PF SAW TXWY A3 AND TOOK THAT TOWARDS RWY 33. WE REALIZED OUR ERROR AND STOPPED THE ACFT AS WE CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE. THERE WERE NO OTHER ACFT IN THE AREA, AND WE NEVER MADE IT TO THE ACTIVE, BUT WE DID CROSS THE HOLD SHORT LINE WHEN WE SHOULD HAVE MADE A L TURN ON TXWY A AS INSTRUCTED. WE NOTIFIED THE TWR, WHO ISSUED A CLRNC TO USE RWY 33 (IT WAS NOT ACTIVE) AND TURN R ON TXWY G. IN THE FUTURE, I WILL CLARIFY THE INFO WITH THE OTHER CREW MEMBER, AND IF NOT SURE, STOP THE ACFT CLR OF THE RWY UNTIL THINGS ARE SORTED OUT. ADDITIONALLY, EVERY TIME I CROSS A HOLD SHORT LINE, I WILL ASK MYSELF, AM I CLRED TO DO THIS?
