Narrative:
Leading edge flap did not retract after takeoff. Ran all checklists and returned to ord. Requested long runway for landing and declared emergency due to high approach speed, 170 KIAS, and made uneventful overweight landing, 202000 pounds. Rolled to end of runway. Didn't use brake until 100 KTS.
