Narrative:
On feb/wed/03, company requested myself and first officer to return aircraft X to service from maintenance. Upon preflight of aircraft, we noticed the airworthiness certificate missing. We queried the maintenance desk and dispatch to find said certificate. Maintenance was informed by our director of quality assurance we were exempt under an agreement in our general operations manual. I entered the appropriate discrepancy, and completed the day's itinerary. Company failed to produce the authority/authorized letter to accompany. I failed to read the operations manual to insure procurement of the letter. This situation occurred due to increased pressure to maintain schedule integrity. As a crew member, my willingness to not verify the paragraph was due to the direct involvement of crew chief, director of quality assurance, and the document administrator in ZZZ. Furthermore, the crew was under duress in the inadequate time allotted to return the aircraft to service. We also were not familiar with aircraft X flight options 'dedicated crew' concept generally inhibits crew xfer from airframe-to-airframe of the same type. Our preflight discovered discrepancies others may or may not have been aware of.

Title: H25B CREW FOUND THE AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE MISSING WHEN RETURNING THE ACFT TO SVC FROM MAINT.
Narrative: ON FEB/WED/03, COMPANY REQUESTED MYSELF AND FO TO RETURN ACFT X TO SVC FROM MAINT. UPON PREFLT OF ACFT, WE NOTICED THE AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE MISSING. WE QUERIED THE MAINT DESK AND DISPATCH TO FIND SAID CERTIFICATE. MAINT WAS INFORMED BY OUR DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE WE WERE EXEMPT UNDER AN AGREEMENT IN OUR GENERAL OPS MANUAL. I ENTERED THE APPROPRIATE DISCREPANCY, AND COMPLETED THE DAY'S ITINERARY. COMPANY FAILED TO PRODUCE THE AUTH LETTER TO ACCOMPANY. I FAILED TO READ THE OPS MANUAL TO INSURE PROCUREMENT OF THE LETTER. THIS SIT OCCURRED DUE TO INCREASED PRESSURE TO MAINTAIN SCHEDULE INTEGRITY. AS A CREW MEMBER, MY WILLINGNESS TO NOT VERIFY THE PARAGRAPH WAS DUE TO THE DIRECT INVOLVEMENT OF CREW CHIEF, DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE, AND THE DOCUMENT ADMINISTRATOR IN ZZZ. FURTHERMORE, THE CREW WAS UNDER DURESS IN THE INADEQUATE TIME ALLOTTED TO RETURN THE ACFT TO SVC. WE ALSO WERE NOT FAMILIAR WITH ACFT X FLT OPTIONS 'DEDICATED CREW' CONCEPT GENERALLY INHIBITS CREW XFER FROM AIRFRAME-TO-AIRFRAME OF THE SAME TYPE. OUR PREFLT DISCOVERED DISCREPANCIES OTHERS MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE BEEN AWARE OF.
