Narrative:
I was instructed to follow a falcon jet. The falcon crossed runway 19 and I followed. Ground control then informed me that I had crossed without authority/authorized. My misunderstanding of the taxi clearance was the immediate cause. Contributing factors included ground control's conducting simultaneous conversations with multiple aircraft. As a result of this incident, I will carefully review applicable regulations. It would help to emphasize in training that clearance to follow another aircraft does not constitute clearance to cross a runway.
