Narrative:
While performing walkaround inspection of aircraft as part of the inspection check, found #2 main tire hubcap with no safety wire installed. I immediately showed this to my co-worker who installed the safety wire as required per the maintenance manual. The tire appeared to be relatively new and a check of maintenance history on maintenance computer revealed the tire had been changed the previous day.
