Narrative:
While en route from fl, I contacted atlantic city approach on 124.6 about 12 NM south of the ATR VOR. I made the request for VFR flight following towards the rbv VOR and to circumnavigate the ny ADIZ, to the west landing bdr. A transponder code was given and positive contact was established. I had a false sense of security thinking since I'm talking to ATC and the system wasn't busy, I wouldn't get terminated. I also felt, I could navigate around the ADIZ using pilotage and dead reckoning. The hand off to mcguire ATC was uneventful. When close to the rbv VOR, mcguire terminated radar service, gave me a frequency for ny ATC, and to squawk VFR. Instead of attempting to contact ny ATC from so close, I turned to a heading I thought would keep me out of the ADIZ. Since I wasn't expecting to be dropped from radar services, I really didn't prepare properly for the circumnavigation of the ny ADIZ. Also, around the nj area, the haze/fog began to thicken and ground contact was sometimes lost due to low undercast of clouds.

Title: M20P PLT APPARENTLY TRACKED AND IDENTIFIED BY N90 FOR NY ADIZ VIOLATION WHILE ENRTE TO BDR FROM FL.
Narrative: WHILE ENRTE FROM FL, I CONTACTED ATLANTIC CITY APCH ON 124.6 ABOUT 12 NM S OF THE ATR VOR. I MADE THE REQUEST FOR VFR FLT FOLLOWING TOWARDS THE RBV VOR AND TO CIRCUMNAVIGATE THE NY ADIZ, TO THE W LNDG BDR. A XPONDER CODE WAS GIVEN AND POSITIVE CONTACT WAS ESTABLISHED. INSTEAD OF ATTEMPTING TO CONTACT NY ATC FROM SO CLOSE, I TURNED TO A HDG I THOUGHT WOULD KEEP ME OUT OF THE ADIZ. SINCE I WASN'T EXPECTING TO BE DROPPED FROM RADAR SERVICES, I REALLY DIDN'T PREPARE PROPERLY FOR THE CIRCUMNAVIGATION OF THE NY ADIZ. ALSO, AROUND THE NJ AREA, THE HAZE/FOG BEGAN TO THICKEN AND GND CONTACT WAS SOMETIMES LOST DUE TO LOW UNDERCAST OF CLOUDS.
