Narrative:
While en route from mjx to rbv VOR to pick up and activate flight plan and obtain transponder code for entry to the ny ADIZ, (filed with miv FSS). I entered the area to land at 3n6. The reason for this incursion is that I discovered that the door of the aircraft was not secure, which caused noise in the cockpit, which would not allow me to communication with ny center. The door was then secured and I departure back to rbv and contacted ny and obtained my code. My trip through the ADIZ was uneventful and all regulations were complied with. I returned later that evening and again complied with all regulations. Subsequent to this incursion, I have discussed this matter with my cfii for additional training on the procedures and I have also discussed this matter with the teb FSDO, and miv FSS.
