Narrative:
After landing on runway 25L at los angeles airport, the clearance was to taxi off on taxiway T high-speed and hold short of runway 25R. After coming to a complete stop on the taxiway T high-speed, it appeared the nose wheel of the aircraft may have crossed the hold short line for runway 25R. We then were issued our clearance to cross runway 25R and contact ground control. After crossing runway 25R and contacting ground, we were instructed to call the tower. Tower told me it appeared to him we might have continued the taxi and crossed runway 25R, so he cancelled the aircraft's takeoff clearance on runway 25R for safety reasons. The controller informed me he must file a report when cancelling an aircraft's takeoff clearance. He also said no incursion happened, and it was a formality. I suggest flashing yellow lights next to the hold short lines at lax international airport on all high-speed turnoffs on the 2 sets of parallel runways in order to identify the hold short lines when exiting the runway due to the close proximity of the parallels at lax.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A NEAR RWY INCURSION WITH AN APPARENT HOLD LINE XING BY A ROLLED OUT CARGO 727 OFF RWY 25L CAUSES LCL CTLR TO CANCEL THE TKOF CLRNC OF AN ACFT HOLDING ON RWY 25R AT LAX, CA.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 25L AT LOS ANGELES ARPT, THE CLRNC WAS TO TAXI OFF ON TXWY T HIGH-SPD AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 25R. AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP ON THE TXWY T HIGH-SPD, IT APPEARED THE NOSE WHEEL OF THE ACFT MAY HAVE CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 25R. WE THEN WERE ISSUED OUR CLRNC TO CROSS RWY 25R AND CONTACT GND CTL. AFTER XING RWY 25R AND CONTACTING GND, WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO CALL THE TWR. TWR TOLD ME IT APPEARED TO HIM WE MIGHT HAVE CONTINUED THE TAXI AND CROSSED RWY 25R, SO HE CANCELLED THE ACFT'S TKOF CLRNC ON RWY 25R FOR SAFETY REASONS. THE CTLR INFORMED ME HE MUST FILE A RPT WHEN CANCELLING AN ACFT'S TKOF CLRNC. HE ALSO SAID NO INCURSION HAPPENED, AND IT WAS A FORMALITY. I SUGGEST FLASHING YELLOW LIGHTS NEXT TO THE HOLD SHORT LINES AT LAX INTL ARPT ON ALL HIGH-SPD TURNOFFS ON THE 2 SETS OF PARALLEL RWYS IN ORDER TO IDENT THE HOLD SHORT LINES WHEN EXITING THE RWY DUE TO THE CLOSE PROX OF THE PARALLELS AT LAX.
