Narrative:

Runway incursion. Ord tower cleared aircraft X into position on runway 9L to hold. Our aircraft was facing east on taxiway H. We proceeded to turn north on taxiway J to take the runway 9L. When the aircraft was in a position to see the runway 9L final approach, we were already across the runway 9L hold short line when we saw an air carrier about 1/2 mi out on final. The aircraft was stopped short of the actual runway. We notified ord tower of the aircraft on final and that we had crossed the hold short line of runway 9L. The aircraft Y aircraft on final was sent around, and tower reclred our flight into position to hold on runway 9L. The remainder of the operations were normal.

Narrative: RWY INCURSION. ORD TWR CLRED ACFT X INTO POS ON RWY 9L TO HOLD. OUR ACFT WAS FACING E ON TXWY H. WE PROCEEDED TO TURN N ON TXWY J TO TAKE THE RWY 9L. WHEN THE ACFT WAS IN A POS TO SEE THE RWY 9L FINAL APCH, WE WERE ALREADY ACROSS THE RWY 9L HOLD SHORT LINE WHEN WE SAW AN ACR ABOUT 1/2 MI OUT ON FINAL. THE ACFT WAS STOPPED SHORT OF THE ACTUAL RWY. WE NOTIFIED ORD TWR OF THE ACFT ON FINAL AND THAT WE HAD CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE OF RWY 9L. THE ACFT Y ACFT ON FINAL WAS SENT AROUND, AND TWR RECLRED OUR FLT INTO POS TO HOLD ON RWY 9L. THE REMAINDER OF THE OPS WERE NORMAL.
