Primary Problem | Flight Crew Human Performance |
Narrative:
Problem arose from the distractions of seeing grand children for the first time. Problem was not discovered until the next morning when we realized that FSS had not been contacted. When problem was discovered, we contacted FSS immediately. We are posting 'close flight plan' sign on copilot's yoke as a corrective action. Human performance considerations involve concentration on the job at hand and completing that job before pursuing other interests. We are serious pilots interested in safety of flight. We utilize dfss and appreciated their help and do not want to waste their time.
