Narrative:
On 04/sun/03 flying a 152 from hampton roads airport in hampton, va. I left heading to manassas regional airport near washington dulles airport and then to martin stats airport in baltimore, md. Before leaving va I filed an ADIZ flight plan and was given the following information contact patuxent approach on 124.65 for my beacon code. I left va around XA00 as I approached hill MOA well outside of the ADIZ airspace. I began trying to contact patuxent approach I used the given frequency of 124.65 and also 120.05 no luck! I circled for about 15 min finally reaching patuxent. Not thinking about the ADIZ airspace which is near the magenta line and thinking about the class B I moved into the ADIZ without code or contact with the controller.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: C152 PLT TRIED, BUT WAS UNABLE TO CONTACT THE NHK CTLR FOR CLRNC INTO THE DC ADIZ ON THE FREQUENCY HE WAS GIVEN. PLT ESTABLISHED CONTACT ON A DIFFERENT FREQUENCY, BUT CONFUSED CLASS B WITH ADIZ AIRSPACE.
