Narrative:
I was the PNF on flight from ZZZ. We departed on time. All checklists and system were completed and normal. 20 mins after takeoff, #2 low hydraulic pressure light and master caution illuminated. Read, reviewed, and completed actions directed by checklist. #2 hydraulic leak caused the lights. Advised flight attendants and passenger to remain seated, described situation, and decided to return to ZZZ. Called dispatch, maintenance, and ATC. Declared in-flight emergency with ATC, and asked for emergency vehicles just in case. Completed B system hydraulic failure checklist. Landed uneventfully on runway 31L and taxied to gate. Captain flew a very nice flaps 15 degree ILS approach and landing. Maintenance noted all B system fluid was completely gone, and the tank was empty. Captain's explanation to the passenger and his handling of the emergency was very professionally completed.
