Narrative:

I was on a flight to check out my new mode south transponder, a test flight. After flying up towards danbury area I headed south, down route 7 and norwalk river which is where I thought the ADIZ was west of. I mistook the mode C/ADIZ as west of the norwalk river/route 7 instead of west of the westport river. I was told upon my entrance into bdr airspace to squawk on 1200 VFR, and then told by ground control after landing to call ny TRACON. I called as soon as I got to my house. I inadvertently entered the ADIZ by mistake, better charting on the internet would have helped me in my preflight planning in this instance.
