Narrative:
On dec/sun/03, at approximately XG00, I was descending wbound through 2000 ft MSL, approximately 3 mi east of bay bridge airport (W29) in stevensville, md, intending to land at W29. My airplane's transponder was squawking XXXX, the transponder code specified in NOTAM fdc 3/0347, 'ingress/egress test procedures for bay bridge (W29) and kentmorr (3w3) airports in maryland.' I entered the baltimore/washington ADIZ in accordance with the procedure outlined in that NOTAM, staying within the lateral and vertical boundaries specified for approach to W29 from the east. Upon entry to the traffic pattern, the airport unicom operator asked me to call the potomac ATC/TRACON upon landing, which I did. The TRACON operator told me that the NOTAM under which I had squawked XXXX and entered the ADIZ was no longer in effect, and that under current NOTAMS I should have called FSS for a discrete transponder code. The duats briefing I received at XA30 the same morning did not indicate that NOTAM fdc 3/0347 had been canceled, and in fact indicated that it is still in effect 'through dec/wed/03, XA59.' I saved the briefing.

Title: PA28 PLT ENTERED DC ADIZ WITHOUT GETTING A CLRNC OR A DISCRETE XPONDER CODE.
Narrative: ON DEC/SUN/03, AT APPROX XG00, I WAS DSNDING WBOUND THROUGH 2000 FT MSL, APPROX 3 MI E OF BAY BRIDGE ARPT (W29) IN STEVENSVILLE, MD, INTENDING TO LAND AT W29. MY AIRPLANE'S XPONDER WAS SQUAWKING XXXX, THE XPONDER CODE SPECIFIED IN NOTAM FDC 3/0347, 'INGRESS/EGRESS TEST PROCS FOR BAY BRIDGE (W29) AND KENTMORR (3W3) ARPTS IN MARYLAND.' I ENTERED THE BALTIMORE/WASHINGTON ADIZ IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROC OUTLINED IN THAT NOTAM, STAYING WITHIN THE LATERAL AND VERT BOUNDARIES SPECIFIED FOR APCH TO W29 FROM THE E. UPON ENTRY TO THE TFC PATTERN, THE ARPT UNICOM OPERATOR ASKED ME TO CALL THE POTOMAC ATC/TRACON UPON LNDG, WHICH I DID. THE TRACON OPERATOR TOLD ME THAT THE NOTAM UNDER WHICH I HAD SQUAWKED XXXX AND ENTERED THE ADIZ WAS NO LONGER IN EFFECT, AND THAT UNDER CURRENT NOTAMS I SHOULD HAVE CALLED FSS FOR A DISCRETE XPONDER CODE.
