Narrative:
Doing touch-and-goes with student pilot. Advised we were #2 for airport -- saw traffic on short final, thought that was our traffic. Saw other aircraft after we turned base. We turned out to let other aircraft ahead. We were making left traffic, other aircraft was on right traffic -- tower should have advised us when to turn base.
