Narrative:

Flight attendant #2 was removed from her sequence at the advice of bwi paramedics due to possible injuries from a sudden stop. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: captain was departing the gate at bwi. He was concerned because of tight spacing with a commuter jet close to his aircraft. He was given a salute and a release from guidance. When the first officer told the captain to stop, the first officer then gave the captain a more urgent stop command. The captain thought the aircraft was about to hit the commuter jet and applied the brakes fully. Taxi speed was only 1 or 2 KTS. The first officer had a stop signal from the ground crew because they forgot to close ground power, flight interphone door. The flight attendant struck her head on a galley oven during the sudden stop. The captain returned to the gate and requested paramedics. The flight attendant was taken to the hospital. Hospital tests indicated a severe head bruise.
