Narrative:
During a 7KCAB chkout for a tailwheel endorsement, the front seat pilot receiving instruction bounced during a wheel landing. I called 'go around' but the pilot abruptly applied forward stick. I attempted to recover with aft stick, but could not stop the aircraft from hitting the runway and striking the propeller. After we hit, the aircraft bounced again and the pilot attempted to apply full power. By now, I had already taken the controls, reduced power and landed. We then taxied to the ramp. No injuries other than the propeller strike.

Title: CITABRIA FLT CREW HAS PROP STRIKE ON PRACTICE LNDG AT IXD.
Narrative: DURING A 7KCAB CHKOUT FOR A TAILWHEEL ENDORSEMENT, THE FRONT SEAT PLT RECEIVING INSTRUCTION BOUNCED DURING A WHEEL LNDG. I CALLED 'GAR' BUT THE PLT ABRUPTLY APPLIED FORWARD STICK. I ATTEMPTED TO RECOVER WITH AFT STICK, BUT COULD NOT STOP THE ACFT FROM HITTING THE RWY AND STRIKING THE PROP. AFTER WE HIT, THE ACFT BOUNCED AGAIN AND THE PLT ATTEMPTED TO APPLY FULL PWR. BY NOW, I HAD ALREADY TAKEN THE CTLS, REDUCED PWR AND LANDED. WE THEN TAXIED TO THE RAMP. NO INJURIES OTHER THAN THE PROP STRIKE.
